Riversleigh Manor House
Riversleigh Manor is a rambling old house with twenty five private quarters. This house was once the house of Lord and Lady someone or other and was later acquired by the Abbess and belongs to the Lemurian Abbey. Paths lead through the Grove Seed Grove to the Gypsy Camp, the Hermitage and the Lemurian Abbey. Riversleigh Manor is the base home of those who have decided to come ad find the Magic Faraway Tree, which is said to be within the Enchanted Golden Seed Grove.

In our region we have experienced some intense weather extremes in the last week or so. Now we have rain, which has relieved everything. It reminded me how grateful for shelter we all are, and how safe we are. Riversleigh is sure a place of many seasons!
How great our homes are.
Another note -- The sun pic is untouched, orange at setting because of the smoke haze over the city, which thankfully has cleared with the rain. Sigh of relief.
Wish we would get some rain--it's 102 days since we had any measurable rain here. That on top of the fact that last year's monsoon, which usually arrives in August, was a bust. I fear that water rationing looms on the horizon. I'm usually careful with water usage though--living here in the desert, I'm aware that it's a precious commodity...a gift from the Goddess.

My goodness Vi. This is terrifying. I must say the weather here has been frightening and the fires devastating. The Grampians were so beautiful and will take years to recover now. Victoria has had a long history of crushing fires and ones in Gippsland, when my father was born, were amongst the worst on record.
Expressing gratitude for shelter is a perfect sentiment Monika. I am so pleased you have done this.
Vi, I have heard this about your region too. I hope the world becomes balanced real soon, for the sake of these happenings. Hope you get rain soon.
Yes, Heather, the situation is heartbreaking for many, and the forest will take a good while to regenerate. And the people too, for the income from bushwalkers, etc., I heard. Those Gippsland fires must have been a test and a half for your ancestors.
Shelter. I bet we are all pleased for it in these times.
I have to add my mountain weather too..The sidewalk is a 6 foot high tunnel of snow bank to the parking lot and when it melts I wish we coud tip the world so it would flow down to Vi in the desert as we will have way too much. And with the 10 and 20 degree weather I am most thankful for my shelter.
In this sweltering Queensland heat I am grateful for shelter, and for the fan my son bought for me that stands by my desk.
