On the porch

from my book 'Henge, Glade and Tiers'

FROM MY STAND

The night trees often play sax to my prayers,
backed up out by the trombone train.
But the holly rattles a distracting theme,
while vines shoot to a higher key,
and I must listen close to the chorus of roots
that plunge to a throaty base.
Peace will come in a clarinet joy of grass.

fascinating melodies to be found within nature. Reminds me of Staffa which inspired Mendolsen

I love it--an orchestra of Nature's music. And the conductor, Who, I wonder, holds the baton?

Vi

Faucon, you always come up with something extraordinary! I've just finished reading Vi's poem. Seems to me we have some powerful voices here speaking out dor our beautiful earth!
