Winters' greetings

Winter still. But not for long.
Somewhere in an ice deep glen, not far away,
Shards break, flakes shatter,
Drops descend, rivulets gather to gush.
The earth turns in her dream and knows
the waking time is near.

Welcome Karen. I am just thrilled that you have come to Riversleigh.

This image, and the verse, is just divine. The red robin is such a favourite of mine and you have depicted her magnificently. Quite takes my breath away.

Thank you Imogen and Heather,
Heather, I see a small sprite with a red shirt, a black hat and yellow pants. I am thinking that perhaps this is one of those images that can be seen two ways, as elemental and animal. Perhaps the sprite is a shape-shifter?

It is too. Funny how the eye can deceive. NO! It is simply a shapeshifting image. How delightful

Amazing how this image can be looked at in two ways. I, like Heather, saw the robin first, then after seeing your response, I looked closer to see the sprite. It can be looked at either way--like I said, amazing.

I am fascinated with this discovery. When I painted the sprite, of course, I could only see the sprite and didn't realize that there was anything else. But now I can see something like a robin with a beak, too. I wonder how often our unconscious minds do this?

Now that I look more closely, I also see some gnomish faces in the tree roots!

I saw a Robin first too.
